2 replied at 2012-09-26 02:40:26 Hi BlueSoleilSupport, Thanks for your reply. How would you like for me to provide you the Dongle MAC adress - I have two dongles of which only one has been unpacked as of now? Do I send it in a mail to you or should I expose it here on the web? I have managed to install the Dongle software in a Windows XP x32 bit and there it shows up the vendor part as being: 00:19:86 and the software supplied on the CD for the product is IVT BlueSoleil version 6.2.227.10 (C) 2007 and a reference to Please advise on how to proceed in order to get acces to a version 6 or version 8 able to install into Windows 7 x64 bit.

You know, we are a software company, everybody can free download BlueSoleil software and sale with their hardware (dongle) after carved into a CD. We never send a CD of BlueSoleil to our users.

So you should contact your retailer firstly. Please right click the Bluetooth icon in your system tray - My Equipment Attribute - Hardware, send the device address to us. We’ll confirm that if the dongle is ours and if you are a genuine user of version6. 1 replied at 2012-09-21 12:06:04 There seem to be no description on how to reslove error 183 using the supplied install CD for version 6.2.227.10? I have purchased two dongles with no license keys/serials supplied with the product from the retail shop and with this version trying to install it into Windows 7 x64 bit it always end up giving error 183. Thus, as it do not install an upgrade will not be possible to version 8 for free and I am prompted for a trial period of 30 days and only 2 MB data transfere. As it seemse that version 6.2.227.10 is not required to have a serial key for installing how can I migrate to version 8 that will install on Windows 7 x64 bit when installing version 6.2.227.10 is never making it into the OS in the first place?

I think that Bluesoleil is leaving their customers without any options and answers and I think that I have to give back the product to the retailler and never buy anything from BlueSoleil ever again? Do you have an answer to this or should I just abandon your products going forward? Up untill now I have wasted a huge amount of time trying to get the product working - it really should be plug and play!!! Best regards MGronbak. 1 replied at 2012-09-21 00:04:36 Dear winezen, you will receive a serial number after purchasing successfully on our website: We also promised all of our users can upgrade freely from version6 to version8.

The upgrade policy as follows: If you bought a serial number or a dongle from our website at the outset, you can have free access to the latest version, you just need to do is simply download and install the software accordingly, activate it with your SN or dongle; if you bought a dongle with a BlueSoleil6 software CD from one retailer, you should ask your retailer if the dongle including the license for activating version8 first, if yes, you just need to insert your dongle, BlueSoleil8 will be activated.
