Hi',it is an old codec, does not add anything new to encoding and has an issue with hardware acceleration on an Intel integrated GPU in that it produces an empty file.' I have a different opinion to John on this and use it quite a lot.MC is 3 to 4 times faster on H.264 Software Only (ie no HW acceleration) exports than the Intel default encoder. This is useful if you have a system with no Intel iGPU.

It can be configured to use QuickSync HW accel. If you have an Intel iGPU however. It is more configurable in it's advanced settings if you like to fiddle with stuff, although we recommend that it is best for most users to stick with the presets. It has a bug with a.mp4 export where it appears to encode but you end up with a 0byte file, but it works correctly with an AVCHD (mpeg4) Transport stream.mts export. I only recently informed Magix support of this and they replicated the problem and created a bug entry in their system, which is being investigated.Peter.
